N.C. HIGHWAY PATROL PROMOTES 39 OFFICERS

RALEIGH -- The North Carolina State Highway Patrol will promote 46 of its members to higher ranks in a ceremony held today, June 30, at 3:00 p.m. at the Colonial Baptist Church, 6051 Tryon Road in Cary.

"These Troopers will continue the Patrol's progression toward excellence by providing quality service to the citizens of North Carolina, they have worked hard to earn these promotions," said Colonel Richard W. Holden, commander of the Highway Patrol. "I'm confident they will continue to do good work at their new duty assignments."

"The Highway Patrol is a proud organization with a rich history," said Bryan E. Beatty, Secretary of the Department of Crime Control and Public Safety. "These newly promoted officers have the skills, training, and experience to keep the Patrol at the forefront of professional law enforcement."
