Secretary Bryan Beatty, after meeting with Colonel Richard W. Holden, Commander of the North Carolina Highway Patrol, has requested that the Patrol follow up on information disclosed during the recent hearing held in Durham Superior Court. The testimony from three witnesses was not previously revealed to the Patrol's Internal Affair's section. Secretary Beatty and Colonel Holden will review the findings and take whatever appropriate action is required.

The Highway Patrol is dedicated to its core mission of safety on the highways and will continue to educate the public on the dangers of driving while impaired, and will continue to enforce the laws of the State of North Carolina in a fair and impartial manner.
