Troopers have charged Bryan Carl Peterson, age 17, of Middlesex, with felony hit and run as a result of the collision that killed Nancy G. Wood and her son Robbie R. Wood of Zebulon. The fatal collision occurred on July 13, 2002, at 2:40 a.m. on N.C. 39.
Peterson is being processed at the Magistrate's Office in Johnston County.
A Green/Blue 95 Dodge Van has been impounded as evidence and is being analyzed at the State Bureau of Investigation Lab in Raleigh.
Further charges may be pending.
Media will be notified if additional charges or arrests are made as a result of the investigation.
