GOV. EASLEY TO VISIT NATIONAL GUARD COMMAND POST IN KINSTON FOR HURRICANE ISABEL BRIEFING

RALEIGH – Gov. Mike Easley will be briefed by members of the North Carolina National Guard on storm preparations and storm mobilization efforts and hold a media availability today (Sept. 17) at 2 p.m. at the N.C. Global Transpark Education and Training Center (3800 Highway 58 North) in Kinston.

Secretary Bryan Beatty of the N.C. Department of Crime Control and Public Safety and Maj. General Bill Ingram of the National Guard will accompany Easley on the trip and briefing.

Directions:

Take Highway 70 east to Kinston. Veer left at the fork when entering Kinston, this is Vernon Avenue. After passing the Vernon Park Mall, turn left at the next stoplight onto Queen Street. After five miles, the ETC will be on the left.
