LOCAL OFFICERS GRADUATE FROM FBI ACADEMY |
RALEIGH-N.C. State Highway Patrol (SHP) First Sergeant Mark Johnson and N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement (ALE) Supervisor Rodney Johnson recently graduated from the FBI Academy in Quantico, Virginia. They were members of a class of 264 law enforcement officers who completed the 205th Session of the National Academy.
Rodney Johnson, a supervisor with ALE, is a Randleman resident who has been with the Division for 22 years. He is a graduate of N. Moore High School in Robbins. He oversees ALE's highly successful Nuisance Abatement Team.
First Sergeant Mark Johnson is a Fuquay-Varina resident who has served with the Highway Patrol since 1979. He is currently the District Supervisor in Wake County.
Both officers completed 10 weeks of advanced instruction in legal matters, investigative techniques, management skills and fitness training. The National Academy Program is internationally known for its academic excellence. It only accepts officers who have proven records as professionals within their agencies.
Training for the program was provided by FBI Academy instructional staff, Special Agents and other staff members holding advanced degrees, many of whom are recognized internationally in their fields of expertise.
A total of 34,507 graduates now represent the FBI National Academy since it began in July 1935. Of this number, approximately 21,000 are still active in law enforcement work.
