AMBER ALERT ISSUED FOR INFANT IN HIJACKED CAR NEAR CHARLOTTE |
RALEIGH -- The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued an AMBER Alert over the Emergency Alert System for a two-month old infant who is in a hijacked car. The carjacking occurred around 8:00 this morning in north Charlotte.
Authorities are looking for a 1997 Green Honda Accord with a North Carolina temporary 30-day license plate. The number on the temporary plate is 12601057. The alleged carjacker is described as a black male about 50 years old. He is tall and has an afro and a mustache and is wearing a blue shirt. The car was last seen on Horne Drive in Charlotte.
Anyone who believes they have seen the car should call 911 or dial * HP on cell phones to reach the Highway Patrol.
