ALE OFFICERS RAID ALLEGED ALCOHOL AND DRUG HAVEN ON FISHER STREET |
RALEIGH - N.C. Alcohol Law Enforcement agents raided a house off New Bern Ave. shortly after midnight today and arrested three people inside for running a liquor, drug and weapons house. A fourth person was arrested inside for outstanding warrants.
ALE agents executed a search warrant at 104 N. Fisher St. and seized approximately 20 gallons of liquor, ten cases of malt beverage, various illegal weapons, a refrigerator, coolers, entertainment systems, gang paraphernalia, drugs and drug paraphernalia and a stolen handgun. The house contained no beds and was set up as a club.
“Our office had been inundated with complaints against this location that had a reputation as a place for local drug dealers to gather and party,” ALE Agent Jason Locklear said. “After hearing how community members were terrified of this location, it felt good to put this place out of business."
The four suspects were arrested on 15 charges including maintaining a drug dwelling, felony possession of stolen property, possession of marijuana, possession for sale of alcohol and selling alcohol without a permit. A Raleigh police officer and a State Highway Patrol trooper assisted in the raid.
For information, contact Agent Scott Young at (252) 883-9944 or Agent Jason Locklear (910) 280-0528.
