RE: Highway Patrol to Crack Down on Aggressive Driving on the Interstates

On June 14, 2002, the Highway Patrol will be conducting a Speed Reduction campaign on two sections of I-40/I-85 to combat aggressive driving. Troopers from surrounding counties will converge on these sections of the interstates. The first squad of troopers will work I-40/I-85 in Orange County. The second squad of troopers will work I-85 from Randleman Road in Guilford County, to the Randloph County line. Troopers will be enforcing all traffic laws, however, they will be focusing their efforts on high-speed violations. Troopers will be using the Camaros and Motorcycle units for this campaign.

On Friday, June 14th at 1:15 p.m., members of the media are invited to the briefings, which will be held at the Graham Office, 1045 Cedar Crest Drive, Graham, and the High Point Office, 650 Francis St, High Point, N.C. The District First Sergeants will meet with all the Camaro drivers for this assignment.
