Independence Holiday Celebration - No Parking |
|
The State Highway Patrol will be directing traffic at this year's Independence Holiday Celebration at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds on July the 4th. Please assist us in warning motorists of changes that will make the area safer for pedestrians around the Fairgrounds during this year's event. The Department of Transportation and the City of Raleigh have determined that parking will not be allowed along streets immediately surrounding the North Carolina State Fairgrounds. Signs have been posted prohibiting parking and warning motorists that violators will be towed away from posted areas along Wade Avenue, Hillsborough Street, Blue Ridge Road, Youth Center Road, and Trinity Road. The past has also taught us to anticipate significant travel delays in the region immediately following the fireworks display. If you have any questions, please call my office at 919-733-5027. |
