| RE: | Secretary Moore Visits Boy Scout Camporee Hosted by Highway Patrol and Crime Control and Public Safety |
|
Honorary Camporee Chief and secretary of the N. C. Department of Crime Control and Public Safety (CCPS) Richard Moore will visit the Boy Scouts Occoneechee Council Camporee tomorrow, Friday, November 5 at 4:30 p.m. An estimated 6,000 scouts and their leaders from 13 counties are holding this weekend's camporee on the grounds of the State Highway Patrol Training Center, 3318 Garner Road in Raleigh. As Honorary Chief, Secretary Moore will be wearing his scout uniform. This should be visual and interesting and involve a large number of people from throughout your coverage areas.
The camporee theme is "Safe Scouting/Safe Communities" and is hosted by the Highway Patrol and CCPS, its parent department. The camporee runs Friday through Sunday. Members of the press should meet at the press/VIP desk near the entrance to the Training Center. If you have any questions, please call my office at 919-733-5027. |
