Governor Michael F. Easley will preside over the ceremony to swear in the new Adjutant General of the N.C. National Guard on Wednesday, August 22nd. Secretary of State Elaine Marshall will administer the oath of office to Major General William E. Ingram, Jr., Adjutant General of the North Carolina National Guard, in a ceremony to be held at 2:00 p.m. in the old House chamber of the State Capitol. The ceremony officially marks Maj. Gen. Ingram's appointment as commanding officer of the Army and Air National Guard forces in the state. Members of the media are invited and encouraged to attend. |
