The North Carolina Association of School Resource Officers will host the North Carolina School Resource Officers Conference this week. More than 250 School Resource Officers from across the state are expected to attend the conference July 9 through July 13, 2001 at the Sea Trail Conference Center, Sunset Beach, NC. Reporters are invited to cover the opening ceremony on Tuesday, July 10 at 9:30 a.m. and Attorney General Roy Cooper's keynote speech at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 10. Training sessions will be held in two-hour sessions throughout the conference. Topics include: rave drugs; gangster rap lyrics; domestic violence; alcohol awareness; and, juvenile mental health.
