Governor's Crime Commission Meeting August 23, 2001

The Governor's Crime Commission will hold its regular quarterly meeting on Thursday, August 23 at the Commission's offices at 1201 Front Street in Raleigh. The meeting begins at 9:00 a.m. and will end at 5:00 p.m. Commission members will be discussing funding priorities for the 2002 grant cycle and other business. The Commission is the chief advisory board to the Governor and the Secretary of the Department of Crime Control & Public Safety for the development and implementation of criminal justice policy. Its mission is to improve the quality of life of North Carolina's citizens, enhance public safety, and reduce and prevent crime by improving the criminal justice system.
