SILVER ALERT FOR MISSING ENDANGERED ADULT CANCELLED

RALEIGH - At the request of the Winston Salem Police Department, the N.C. Center for Missing Persons has cancelled the Silver Alert for Charles Mitchell Guffey.

SILVER ALERT FOR MISSING ENDANGERED ADULT

RALEIGH -1:23 am, 2/8/08 - The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a Silver Alert for a missing endangered 79 year-old white male from Winston Salem, Charles Mitchell Guffey.

Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Guffey, who was last seen wearing khaki colored pants, a brown long-sleeve collar shirt, and beige lace-up leather shoes. He is a white male, with grey hair, brown eyes, 6 feet 2 inches tall, and weighs about 200 pounds.

Guffey left his residence, 4307 Countess Place, Winston Salem, around 3:30 pm. He was operating a 1997 four-door tan Buick LaSabre, NC plate VZF1335.

The Winston Salem police department contacted the Center for Missing Persons to request the alert. Guffey is believed to be suffering from dementia or some other cognitive impairment.
