During their 13 weeks of training, the graduates completed more than 550 hours of specialized training in areas such as ABC laws, drug laws, interview and interrogation, officer survival, and firearms training. Three agents will be assigned to Elizabeth City; two agents will be assigned to Hickory; and one will be assigned to Raleigh.
The new agents will be assigned to a field training agent for the next 12 weeks for more on the job training. The six graduates, their hometown and duty assignments are as follows:

The state has 117 sworn agents who enforce the state's alcohol, tobacco, controlled substances and lottery laws. Agents monitor the sale, consumption, distribution, and transportation of alcoholic beverages, giving special attention to the possession and use of alcohol by minors.
