Oversize Boat Press Event- HB 2167

 

Bryan Beatty, Secretary of the N.C. Department of Crime Control & Public Safety, will conduct a press event today, August 21st at 11:00 a.m. to demonstrate the dangers of HB 2167. Troopers are concerned the bill would increase the frequency and severity of collisions on rural, unlit roads throughout our state.

The press event will be held at the North Carolina State Highway Patrol's Driver Training Facility on Tryon Road, Raleigh. Troopers will conduct several demonstrations with an oversize boat and trailer.

Secretary Beatty and Colonel Walter J. Wilson, Jr. will be available for interviews after the demonstrations.
