Twenty-six members of the State Highway Patrol will be promoted in ceremonies on Friday, July 7, 2006. The promotion ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Baptist Church, 6051 Tryon Road, Cary.

One member will be promoted to the rank of captain, three to the rank of lieutenant, nine to the rank of first sergeant, and thirteen to the rank of sergeant. The Patrol will also promote sixteen civilian employees.
