Amber Alert Cancelled-Rocky Mount Girl Located in Iowa
ROCKY MOUNT- The N.C. Center for Missing Persons received notification from Rocky Mount PD at 9:25 p.m. this evening that Jodie Renee Collie has been located; she is safe and unharmed. She was located in Des Moines, Iowa by local officials. Denkler was not located. This is all the information that we have at this time. All questions concerning Jodie should be directed to the Rocky Mount Police Department at 252-972-1411.
New Information as of Sunday, August 28:
The Rocky Mount Police Department says the Hyundai Sonata they are looking for in connection with a missing 12-year old may be displaying one of two license plates: either PSA-2000 or NWN-2630. Anyone who thinks they may have seen the car, Jodie Collie or Phillip Denkler should call the Rocky Mount Police Department at 252-972-1411.
AMBER Alert Issued for Rocky Mount Girl
ROCKY MOUNT -- The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a statewide AMBER Alert for a 12-year-old girl who was found missing from her home last Friday morning at 6:50. The Rocky Mount Police Department contacted the Center shortly before 4 p.m. Friday to request the alert be broadcast.
Citizens are asked to be on the lookout for Jodie Renee Collie, a white female about 5 feet 4 inches tall and 114 pounds.
She is thought to be with a registered sex offender, 27-year-old Phillip Daniel Denkler, a white male, with short, straight black hair and brown eyes. They may be traveling in a beige 2005 Hyundai Sonata, license plate number NWN-2630. Their direction of travel is unknown.
The alert has also been entered into the National Criminal Information Center and into the state DCI system for law enforcement.
