Seventy-seven members of the State Highway Patrol will be promoted in ceremonies on Monday, November 28, 2005. The promotion ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m. at Colonial Baptist Church, 6051 Tryon Road, Cary.

Two members will be promoted to the rank of captain, thirteen to the rank of lieutenant, seventeen to the rank of first sergeant, and thirty-two to the rank of sergeant. The Patrol will also promote thirteen civilian employees.

First Lady Mary Easley will be the guest speaker at the promotional ceremony. You are invited to cover this ceremony.
