RE:	Police Corps Scholarships

Bryan E. Beatty, Secretary of the N.C. Department of Crime Control & Public Safety, will present Police Corps Scholarships to nine North Carolina students on Thursday, May 13th, at 10:00 a.m. in the third floor auditorium of the Legislative Building, 16 W. Jones Street, Raleigh

The Police Corps Scholarship Program awards scholarships to students who are interested in a career in law enforcement and agree to work for a minimum of four years with a participating law enforcement agency. Eight of this year’s scholarship winners are from North Carolina and one is from Ohio.

Once they graduate from college, the new officers will work in police departments and sheriff’s offices across the state.
