N.C. CENTER FOR MISSING PERSONS ISSUES AMBER ALERT FOR ABDUCTED FOUR YEAR OLD FROM ALAMANCE COUNTY

RALEIGH – The N.C. Center for Missing Persons has issued a statewide AMBER Alert for a four year old Alamance County girl who was allegedly abducted by her father and is believed to be in danger. The girl’s mother was also abducted.

The Alert was initiated by the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department this morning. They are looking for four year old Christina Gaddy, a white female with blond hair and brown eyes. The abductor is her father, Richard Gaddy, age 31. He is a white male, 6-foot 1-inch in height, weighting 225 pounds, with short brown hair and blue eyes.

He is also believed to have abducted the girl’s mother, who is traveling with them. She is Christie Lynn Sharpe, a white female, age 25, no further description available.

They are believed to be traveling in a 1979 white Ford 4-x-4 pickup truck with North Carolina license plate CS-4165 that is being driven by Gaddy. He is believed to be headed to Georgia, therefore the Center has also requested the states of South Carolina and Georgia to activate their AMBER Alert systems.

Gaddy has threatened to harm the child and her mother if he is approached, therefore citizens who have seen the vehicle or the individuals described should not approach. Instead, they are asked to call 9-1-1 or the Alamance County Sheriff’s Department at 336-570-6776.
