Hit and Run Suspect Located in Johnston County Fatal Collision

 

Raleigh- Troopers have seized a 1996 GMC truck they believe struck Ms. Hocker early Tuesday morning.

Troopers were contacted late yesterday evening by Odalys Nigrin, age 43, of Clayton. Ms. Nigrin provided information which led Troopers to believe she was operating the vehicle that struck Ms. Hocker. The vehicle is registered to her husband. Ms. Nigrin was released after being questioned by Troopers.

Today Troopers will present their findings to the Johnston County District Attorney. No charges have been filed at this time however; Ms Nigrin remains a suspect involved in the hit and run investigation.

Yvonne Michelle Hocker, age 32 of Clayton, was killed on Barber Mill Road in Johnston County sometime early Tuesday morning. Troopers were called to the scene at 12:44 p.m. Tuesday and located the body of Hocker. She was walking along the shoulder or the edge of the roadway when she was struck from behind by a vehicle.
