Crime Victims Act

The North Carolina General Assembly has enacted into law exact procedures to be followed by Victims Compensation Services. The law includes the establishment of the Crime Victims Compensation Commission, rules for awarding compensation, grounds for denial of a claim, collateral sources rules and limits to compensation.
